Connect Duda to Citeca and publish articles automatically.

Connect Duda and Citeca publishes finished articles straight into it — live, or as drafts for you to review first.

Setup time

What we touch

Blog posts only

Note

This connection can only read and publish blog posts. Your theme, products and settings are never modified.

What you need#

  • Access to edit your Duda site
  • Your private Duda link from Citeca (Settings → Publishing → Duda)

Why Duda uses Import

Duda only lets outside apps publish on its Custom plan. On every other plan, your articles come in through Duda’s own Blog → Import, using your private Citeca link: about a minute a week. For fully hands-off publishing on any website builder, Citeca blog hosting on your own domain (blog.yourbusiness.com) is coming soon.

Connecting Duda#

Open Settings → Publishing, find Duda and press Connect. The wizard walks you through the steps below.

  1. 1

    How Duda works with Citeca

One minute to set up, then about a minute a week.

    • Confirm: I can edit my Duda site
    • Citeca writes your articles and keeps them in your private Duda link.
    • In Duda, you press Import Posts and then Publish. Only new articles come in, never duplicates.

    Note

Duda only lets outside apps publish on its Custom plan. On every other plan, your articles come in through Duda’s own Import button, using a private link from Citeca. For fully hands-off publishing, we recommend hosting your blog with Citeca on your own domain (blog.yourbusiness.com), coming soon.

  2. 2

    Copy your Duda link

Your private link to your finished articles. It stays the same, so you can use it every week.

    Heads up

Keep this link to yourself: anyone with it can read your published articles.

  3. 3

    Import your articles in Duda

Duda’s own Import button brings them into your blog.

    • Open your site in the Duda editor (the pencil icon next to it).
    • In the left sidebar, click Blog, then Import.
    • Paste your Duda link into “Enter RSS feed URL” and click Import Posts.
    • Duda says “… blog posts were imported!”. They arrive as drafts.
    Open my Duda sites
  4. 4

    Publish them

Still in the Blog panel, one click puts them all live.

    • Click Posts. Tick the box next to each new draft (the newest are at the top of the list).
    • Click Publish. Each article goes live at yoursite.com/article-name.
    • Citeca checks your site and marks each article Live once it’s up.
  5. 5

    Each week

The same two steps, about a minute.

    Good to know

When new articles are ready, your Duda card in Citeca shows how many are waiting. Open Duda → Blog → Import, paste the same link, Import Posts, then Publish. Only the new ones come in. If Duda says “Please enter a valid Feed URL”, there’s simply nothing new yet.

Duda is set up

Whenever new articles are ready, Citeca shows them on your Duda card. Open Duda, press Import Posts with the same link, then Publish. Only the new ones come in.

Check it worked#

Verify it’s working

3 checks

  • Duda says “… blog posts were imported!” and the articles are in Blog → Posts as drafts.
  • After Publish, each one opens on your site at yoursite.com/article-name.
  • In Citeca, the articles switch to Live with a link to your site.

To test without waiting for a scheduled article, open any finished article in Blog content and press Publish. You get a result per destination immediately, including the exact error if something is wrong.

Managing the connection#

Once connected, the Duda card shows a green Connected dot and a Manage button. Everything about the connection is changed from there — there are three controls.

  • Test connection — checks the credentials against Duda right now. If they fail you get the platform’s own response, not a generic message.
  • Reconnect — walks through the setup again. This is how you paste a rotated credential or change where we publish. It replaces what is stored rather than adding a second connection.
  • Disconnect — deletes the stored credentials and stops publishing. Articles already published stay on your site untouched, and your drafts and schedule in Citeca are kept.

Note

When something fails you get a plain explanation and the steps to fix it. The platform’s own response — status code, endpoint and response body — is folded away under Details for support; “Copy error report” puts all of it in one paste for a support message.

Troubleshooting

Questions#

How do I import new articles each week?

Your Duda card in Citeca shows how many are waiting. In Duda open Blog → Import, paste the same link, click Import Posts, then Posts → tick the new drafts → Publish. Only new articles come in, never duplicates.

Duda says “Please enter a valid Feed URL”.

That means there is nothing new to import yet: your link only carries articles Duda hasn’t brought in. Your Duda card shows when the next ones are ready.

Can Duda publish automatically?

Only on Duda’s Custom plan (API access). On other plans, use Import, or host your blog with Citeca on your own domain for hands-off publishing (coming soon).

Someone else got my link.

It only shows articles you’ve already published. Disconnect Duda in Settings → Publishing and connect again to get a new link.

What happens if I regenerate the credentials?

The old ones stop working immediately and publishing fails with an authentication error. Press Manage on the card, then Reconnect, and paste the new ones — that replaces the old credentials rather than adding a second connection.

Can I disconnect without losing published articles?

Yes. Disconnecting only deletes the credentials we stored. Everything already published stays exactly where it is, because those are posts in your own CMS.

Will publishing the same article twice create a duplicate?

No. Articles are matched on their slug, so republishing updates the existing post rather than adding a second one.
